The museum was founded in 1819 as a displayer of paintings and sculptures. It is considered as one of the world’s best as it includes work from some of the world’s finest artists, which includes – Titian, Francisco de Goya, El Greco, Peter Raul Rubens.

 

  1. Acropolis Museum, Athens – an archaeological museum that is devoted to the archaeological sites of the Acropolis of Athens. Founded in 2003 but opened to public in 2009, the museum houses every artefact on the surrounding slopes of Byzantine Greece to Roman to Greek Bronze Age. Around 4,000 objects can be found here in space of 14,000 sq meters.
