Being the third largest country in the world, with a population of 320 million as per the US census bureau, the nation has been influenced by almost every place in the world. With the British colonizing USA in the early 17th century, it has been shaped by immigrants from Latin America, Asia, Africa and Native America.
Referred to as the ‘melting pot’, due to the contribution of different cultures with each having its own distinct flavour, the western culture of the USA influences other cultures just as it has been influenced by other cultures. As per the US Government, there is no official language in USA with so many languages being spoken in USA like Chinese, Spanish, German, and French with English being spoken by 90% of the population and understood majorly. Religious freedom is something that is followed in this country with respect towards every religion that is practised by the followers. The clothing in America is highly influenced by contemporary trends and fashion. People wear all kinds of clothes here with the western style being highly dominant. When we say American food, we mean hamburgers, hotdogs, french fries. meatloaf, etc. However, with high cultural mix, the American cuisine is also an amalgamation of different types of food such as Mexican, Italian, and Spanish amongst others.
American Arts dates back to the early 18th century with so many artists rising up from the ashes of this nation. Historically, the nation has a legacy of artists and artisans who have not only created breathtaking masterpieces but also influenced the forthcoming generations. The American Arts and culture, is a consolidation of so many cultural backgrounds, that its lavishness and excellence is beyond measure. Its cinema, theatre, architecture, paintings amongst others deserves commendable credit that has impressed generations since times. Inspite of a not so long history, USA has become one of the most culturally rich societies in the world and one of the primary reasons of this is that it is one of those rare nations which is highly audience supportive and philanthropy in nature. The nationals put on their best foot forward to keep the arts alive here and thus, revenue and donations from the people is massive.
It is the people of USA and their efforts which have been able to keep together such a diverse form of arts and culture even today. The diversity that exists in this nation is definitely inspirational and it deserves due applause and salutations.
